Journey to Uppsala

About Uppsala

Uppsala is the fourth largest city in Sweden which is located about 70 km. north of Stockholm. It is one of the oldest and most important city in Scandinavia. Its long history could have been dated back to the Roman period (0-400 AD) in which Uppsala was a religious, economic and political center. With its rich history, Uppsala is a home to many important sights in Sweden- for example, Uppsala cathedral- Scandinavia's largest church built in 13 th century, Uppsala University- the oldest university in Sweden, founded in 1477, etc. Apart from this, it also has a beautiful scenery as the small Fyris River flowing through the city and properly separate the city into the old and new parts.
